Shaking anxiously, he placed a call to his lawyer,,,I didn’t know what or how to feel,,everything was happening so fast,,,,about 45min. Weeks later, Lanre popped the big question, and Sandra said yes,,,,soon the wedding bells were ringing,,we haven’t heard from may and ID, we have actually forgotten the whole issue,,, being the best friend to both the bride and groom can be very frustrating,, I had a lot on my plate,,,, i was here and there, practically in charge of all aspects of the wedding,,,,trying to make sure everything was in order, I was very happy, Sandra and Lanre ended up together,,, they were just made for each other, I hoped and prayed their marriage should be for ever,and nothing like mine….Lanre’s friend was coming from France for the wedding,, lanre has said a whole lot about him,,,at long last it was time to meet this Mr Jason,and of course, I had to pick him up from the airport,I wasn’t as stressed when I got married ~, this two wanted to kill me,,,,I had no choice anyway,I took his picture and went to the internati~ onal airport Lagos,,, he had been told I shall be picking him up,,, ~,,three hours later,he arrived,,he located me,as I held his picture up high,,,, hello Ade,,a calm voice called my ~name,I turned and it was him,,,,welcome to Nigeria, Mr Jaso~ n,,, oh leave the Mr he said,,,nice meeting you,,,lanre has said so much about you and his wife to be Sandra,he must have forgotten~ to mention that you were very very very beautiful,,, because you are,,, oh please stop the drama,let’s get going Jason, I said….Jason seems nice and fun to be with….
Getting home, the two friends were happy to meet again,,,we all went out and it was fun…
Jason and I were left to work hand in hand,to make the wedding wonderful, being the maid of honour and best man was a tough one for both of us,, soon we became friends too….
Two Saturdays on,it was the day of the long awaited wedding,,, it was colourful and superb,just like Sandra had waited it to be,it was her dream wedding….I was called to make a TOAST,I wished them nothing, but to grow old together and in love until their last breadth….
Jason wouldn’t stop disturbing me, he was asking me out, what would a single , ~hardworking and handsome young man like you,want in a single mom like me,,,I have a three year old son for heaven’s sake,I am not ready for a committed relationship soon,an~ d even when I will be ready, you ~can never be qualified, I can never,never have anything to do with a Benin guy ,you people are good for nothing,,, please stay away from me,if it’s about a relationship…. Oh come on Ade,you can’t judge ever~ yone in a tribe because one person misbehaved,I mean we have the good the bad and the terrible form all tribes,,, and as for being a single mother, does having a child makes one less of a human being,or does a failed marriage define a person,, please at least promise me you will think about it at ,Jason said….
