Wendy didn't look at me throughout the walk to the toilet, I can feel she's angry and of course she should be.

Bennett kept hissing like a snake and that's when I realized for the first time that we really look alike, oh my gosh, it's true but Wendy's silence is killing me..

"I'm sorry Wen, it's all my fault" I pleaded standing in her way...

"I told you, I warned you not to cause another ruckus but you won't listen, here we are now, going to wash the staff toilet" she said, not looking at my face..

"I'm so sorry Wen, ok, I'll buy you your favorite ice cream, vanilla flavor" I said and she brightened up..

"Deal?" She said..

"Deal" I answered as we entered the toilet. I faced Bennett

"You know better than to say anything cos if you do, I'm gonna kill you and hide your body in the closet" I threatened but he kept mute.

it's still manageable than the student toilet so we didn't spend much time, Bennett did most of the job.

"So in one sentence, we didn't attend any class today because of your stubbornness" Wendy said as we came out.

"Well, I'll buy you ice cream" I said and winked at her before pulling her along.

We picked our backpacks and started walking home since I didn't bring my car today, we branched by the ice cream shop and we're getting ice cream when my phone rang, it's my mum..

📲 Hi mum.

📲 Guess what?, Your brother is home already, he arrived this afternoon

📲 Oh my, you mean Cross is back from England?, I can't wait to see him, I'll be home soon..

I hung up and jumped up..

"Did you see the moon descending or what?" Wendy asked...

"My brother that I've always told you about is back, Cross is back, come follow me home to meet him" I said as I pulled her along after paying for the ice cream.

Tonia's behavior sometimes is not something to decipher, she truly has an eighteen years old bro that I've never seen because he's been in England all along, my eardrums are tired with important details about him from Tonia. Well, I'll see for myself today.

We got to her house and entered anxiously, the smell of cigarette hung in the air, her parents sat on the sofa regally and a girl is sitting on a couch placing one leg over the other, smoking!!!,

"Good day mum, dad, where's Cross and who's this?" Tonia asked with a tone of disgust, I just stood there staring at the smoking girl..

"Oh, she's Kira, Cross' girlfriend, they came together from England" Mr Graham said.

"Your brother is in his room, I've made some pancakes, you can have some" Mrs Graham said, going upstairs with her husband.

"A girlfriend that doesn't care about the health of the people around her?, Do you want to set the house on fire?" Tonia said, stumping her foot on the ground..

"Doll, why are you so rude?" Kira said, standing up and coming towards Tonia..

"You're the rude one here Kira or whatever you call yourself!!!" Tonia spat back..

This is just not right for someone just returning from school but Tonia is ready to set her straight.

She came closer and blew her cigarette smoke on Tonia's face, Tonia grabbed it from her and threw it on the glass table..

"How dare you" she said and raised her hand to slap Tonia.

"Hey baby sis, you're home" someone said and Kira dropped her hand..

I looked towards the direction and wow, it's a handsome dude, wearing a big smile, revealing his killer dimples. He's so breathtaking, must be Tonia's brother...

He hugged Tonia tightly and she hugged him reluctantly..

"I've missed you so much" he said but Tonia is tensed up already..

"I've missed you too but immediately I saw this potato face, it all disappeared, I don't like her" Tonia said, referring to Kira.

"Oh dear, but she's my girlfriend, she's a good person" Cross said, trying to Calm her down, Kira is back to smoking by now.

"I don't like her, I hate what I don't like," Tonia said and pulled me out.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Your house of course, I can't stay in that house with that silly jerk" she replied.

"Your brother is so cute" I said when we got to my house, Emma was not at home she might have gone for her football practice.

"First time I'm hearing you compliment someone, hope it's not what I'm thinking" she said, raising an eyebrow.

"And what are you thinking?" I asked sarcastically.

"Are you in love with my brother at first sight?" She asked, looking slyly at me.

"Come off it" I said and she laughed loudly.

whereas, deep inside my heart, the answer is yes, I fell for him at first sight, first time I'll ever fall for someone...
